Archrival is a workout app run by Farshid Orak ("we", "us"). This page explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: [email protected].
The short version
- You can use Archrival without an account. In that case your plan and progress stay on your phone and we receive nothing.
- If you sign in with Apple, we store your plan and progress so you can compete with friends and keep your data when you change phones.
- We don't show ads, we don't sell your data, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
- We don't collect your location, contacts, photos, or Apple Health data.
What we collect when you sign in
- Account details from Apple: an account identifier and the email address Apple shares with us. If you choose "Hide My Email", we only receive Apple's private relay address. We use this only to keep your account yours.
- Your profile: the nickname you choose, your hero, and your friend code.
- Your training: your weekly plan, the exercises and days you check off, your points, streaks and badges.
- Your connections: the friends you add, friend requests, the leagues you create or join, and your head-to-head results.
- Notification address: if you allow notifications, a token that lets us send alerts to your phone.
- Safety records: the players you block, and any reports you send us about another player.
What other players can see
Friends and people in your leagues can see your nickname, hero, points, streak and results. They can also see your weekly plan unless you turn on "Keep my plan private" in Settings. Your email address is never shown to anyone. Please don't use your full real name as a nickname if you'd rather stay anonymous.
How we use it
To run the app: saving your progress, showing ladders and leagues, sending the notifications you asked for, and handling reports of bad behaviour. We don't use it for advertising or profiling.
Who handles it for us
- Supabase hosts our database and sign-in system.
- Expo and Apple deliver push notifications.
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple.
These companies process data only to provide their service to us. Your data may be stored and processed in the United States. We don't share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your profile, plan, progress, friends, league memberships and notification token are deleted from our servers. Reports you made about other players are kept without your identity attached, so we can still act on them.
Your choices
- Delete your account and data: in the app, open Progress, tap the gear, then Account, then "Delete my account". You can also email us and we'll do it for you.
- Hide your plan: Settings, Privacy.
- Stop notifications: Settings, Reminders, or your iPhone's Settings.
- Block or report a player: open their profile and tap the "…" button.
- See or correct your data: email us.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have legal rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Email us to use any of these rights.
Children
Archrival is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and access to our database is restricted so that players can only read what the app is meant to show them. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect yours.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes we'll tell you in the app.
